Since the dawn of the millennium, the once dominant sub-genre of a sub-genre known as pop-punk has been on a steady commercial decline. During its waning years, in the arguably noteworthy suburb of San Dimas, California, an innocent bromance sparked a chain of events that would shake the pop-punk scene to its shy and emotionally fragile core. Waiting For Yesterday began when Beau Floch and Thomas Gillmore started writing songs together, inspired by the great songwriting duos of the past and present (Lennon and McCartney, Delonge and Hoppus, Brian Littrell and Nick Carter). With dad-rock aficionado Tyler Marsh on guitar WFY (pronounced 'Wiffy") was ready to take flight like the majestic condor they are, or something. Since releasing their debut LP "Elementary, My Dear Watson" in 2017 the band has released 3 singles, a cover of the iconic Tom Petty track "I Won't Back Down", the Pop Punk drinking scorcher "Hefe" and a blistering rendition of The Cars "You Might Think". With 2020 coming to a close the band is hard at work crafting new bangers they promise will be ready for the world soon! Stay in touch with social media and find out the latest.
